2.11.09

Today was marvelous. I'm too lazy to tell you what happened all over again so I shall quote what I've written somebody somewhere else.

I'm a HUGE klutz/forgetful too. Ok you want to hear what I did today. Embarassed It's reallllllllly bad, but oh well. My mom gave me a check for lunch money this morning. So I take it to my first hour class, orchestra, because I can drop it off after it because the drop box for the money is close to it. So I set it on my stand (which I share with this girl Emily) And she goes "ooh what's this! It's mine now! (don't worry we are friends Wink) And I go "No it's not, not anymore" and I shove the check down my shirt. Embarassed So then after class I'm going to put it in the drop box and it's not there! We (my friends Amy and Erin) search high and low for it. I search in my shirt, yes. And we cannot find it. So yadayada the day goes on I just plan on telling my mom that I lost it (not the specifics. Embarassed) and we're in Invents. (I sit right next to Amy) and I'm scratching my back and I feel something weird. IT'S MY CHECK! It was in my bra strap on the back rotfl We laughed for a few minutes. Ok hope that didn't totally make me seem like the dumbest person ever. It was a totally me moment though.

Gosh I'm awesome right? Hah, I know no need to tell me twice. Today at church they were talking about what we believe in, right? Then they tell me that God spits out "luke-warm Chirstians" which is basically someone who only believes when it's conveient. I don't think that's me, but I'm not sure. I know that I believe that Jesus is God's son and all the basics and I believe that God has a plan for me and you know most of the spiritual aspects of it. It's the other things that stray me the more "abstract things" That they don't plain come and say "OMG this is bad". Like abortion or homosexuality. Those are stuff that I have my own opinion on, that differs a bit from what I think God is telling me is wrong. But I mean I can't just beleive in something because God tells me to, right? I think that would be wrong. I have to make my own opinons. And if that means I'm going to hell, that upsets me, but I don't think that's changing my opinions. I guess I'm just that way. Opinionated. Hah. Whatever maybe there's a special Heaven for us Democratic Christians, I'll see you there Barack!

2.4.09

Lately I've been feeling distant. From everything. Especially my friends. Well most of them. I'm bored with their moral immaturity at most times. And other times I feel out of place. I'm good at the casual friendship deal. I'm good at it, but I don't like it, isn't that the irony of life? I want a best friend. Amelia's the closest thing I have to one... but she's already got a best friend (damn you Mara). Is it bad that I want that friendship to fall apart? Yeah it is and I would feel really bad, not that I've done anything to sabatoge it. Seriously. I want a new, awesome girl to move here, is that too much to ask for? Yeah I thought so too. I just can't wait to get out of this small town on to bigger things. But then when I get there I know I'll be wishing that I could go back, again with the irony. Always wanting to be somewhere else. I'm trying to enjoy it though, but I can't help but think about how college is so much better (according to EVERYONE!) Haha, and then I can get away from all the damn kids that "don't care about school" and have to ruin it for everyone else. Buttttttt that's another blog post.
Ohh and this song has been stuck in my head forever, which means all day today.

1.27.09

Today I'm going to tell you the things I have learned in life. And probably sound pretty cliche while I'm doing it. So ready or not here it goes: Beauty is subjective; Friends come and go, so enjoy them while you have them; worrying about the future waists your present; You get what you need when you don't want it, and you get what you want when you don't need it; eat dessert first, figuratively and literally; do what you want for you, the people who matter will support you; write down stuff, so you don't forget it; change your mind while you can; see every side of the story before making a decision; people don't change if they don't want to; true friends are always there, no matter how bad it gets; lying is easy, telling the truth is hard; don't wait, go out there and get it yourself; be yourself all.the.time; smile as much as you can, it'll make other people feel better; and that's all I can think of for now, but I'll be sure to add to this :]

1.24.08

I am really, really bored. Sooo I'll tell you about my week. I guess. Monday: I went sledding!! It was a blast. I went with Amelia and Kara (clarification: I didn't know she was going to be there haha). Me and Kara rough-housed a little bit. She pusheed me down the hill and I had to show her who was boss! It was pretty fun though and you have to enjoy the warm weather why you can (by the way warm weather right now around here is 23*, yeah) Tuesday I don't remember so obviously it was innaguration day so you can see my previous post... But on Weds, I had confermation, and I can honestly say that that was one of the most funny conformations we've had yet. We talked about grinding and drinking, and about the punishment for each. Haha "So if I grind, while drinking do I get 2 weeks suspention, 3 weeks, or 5 weeks?" Haha that was an Amelia quote. Then on Thursday I worked concessions for golf. That was pretty fun. My shift was with Katie and Erin. It's a lot funner being with Erin when there's not a lot of other people around. It takes off the pressure that I have to compete with someone else for her attention (which I have to do with her...) But it was fun doing concessions with her. Friday my mom and I just went to Barnes and Nobel & Extreme Pita. Mmmmm I love Extreme Pita... a lot. So it was a pretty good week!

1.20.09 - Innaguration Day.

If you haven't seen Barack Obama's speech yet, I suggest you do. It was seriously inspiring. Even if you didn't vote for the guy you have to admit that he gives great speeches. Obviously I am a fan. What's not to love about making history? Disclaimer I don't like him because he's making history as the first African-American president, it's just something that has to be mentioned as it is history. Finally we can get past the fact that only white men have been Presidents. You can't deny that it's pretty amazing. I also loved that he was sworn in with Abe's bible, the man who tried to stop slavery's bible is probably smiling down on this moment. Oh the cheese of that last sentence! But it's pretty sweet how far we've come in 150 years, or even 50 years! From African-Americans not even being able to get a fair paying job, to having our head of office being one. I'm overly proud to be an American right now. I'm so glad that he will be representing our country. I think he can gain back America the good reputation it has been losing in the past years. My favorite quote of his acceptance speech was without a doubt "we gather because we have chosen hope over fear." Brilliant. I'm so ready for a change and hopeful right now. I will remember this day probably, hopefully, forever.

01.05.09

Urgg. Monday, after a vacation no less, must I say more? Nah, school was fine. It was actually pretty fun sense we did almost nothing and in gym we tortured this mean kid. Because that's what we do, no mean kids go unpunished. But then he got mad and spazzed. Oh well, it was way too much fun. The reason I was [most] miffed today though was because my mommy had told someone about you know the Dubai thing. (we kind of have been talking about taking a year overseas, but that would be during my sophomore year, we also talked about it about a year ago, but I was hells no! I don't want to! But we'll get to that later) So later we were in the drive through of BK, and I was like so if we go over there would I have to stay through the summer to finish out my year/get my credits (because now every life decision I make revolves around my credits. They're like my babies.) And my moms like well it probably won't happen. I FREAKED. And you would too. Ok so when they first introduced this idea to me, I was like nooo. I don't want to leave my friends, I'll be lonely, nobody will like me in Dubai/wherever we go/ blah blah blah. And my family gave me a hard time about it. Oh it'd be so good for you, oh it'd be fun, oh blah blah blah. I was "nuts" for not wanting to do it. Then it went away for a while... But then I came around to the idea later, when my friends were all like cool! OMG I wish I could go! Ah I'd be so out of here etc. Then I was like okay maybe I wouldn't be an outcast when I come back. So then it came up again and I'd be like yeah that'd be cool. Then they got more serious and I got kinda excited, ya know?! And so mom's tellin a bunch of people about it. Yeah so it seems like it would "actually happen. Wow I was not happy. I was almost reduced to tears in BK's drivethrough. Ok make me feel bad about NOT wanting to go, then convince me to go, then get me excited, then rip it all out from under me. I think it was a evil scheme. Should have seen it coming. But then my mom's like oh well maaaaaayyyyybeeeee. Eff off mom.  Just give me my Whopper Jr, and go away. But whatever, I'll be unupset in like 5 hours.

1.04.09

I neglect you at times blog, I apologize. Anyways, yesterday we went to HuHot (the restaurant I would marry if possible) with Brandon, Jason, Mandy, and Sanchez (and ma of course). My favorite thing ever is when mom tells everybody my life plan, when half of it probably is going to change. Oh yes she's going to be a lawyer. Well actually mom I'm not sure anymore but I didn't want to discuss this in front of everyone, but thank you. But it's cool. Now everyone's excited and I'm going to have lots of clientele. Especially Sanchez, because that means he can have someone get him out of jail when he gets himself in there. But back to the point. My mom likes to inadvertently embarrass me in public. Like that one time at the Silver Spoon, where I couldn't find the bathrooms (you have to go down the elevator by the way, and you're supposed to figure that out without signs WTF?) and she sent someone out to help me, which caused the whooooooooole restaurant to look at me. (half of it is a window into the hallway, very cool except for that one moment.) Thank God the food was good, and the bathrooms were nice or I would have been upset. Oh yes and today is Erin's birthday, and I have been promised a piece of Tiramisu (I did NOT spell that right)
