I am really, really bored. Sooo I'll tell you about my week. I guess. Monday: I went sledding!! It was a blast. I went with Amelia and Kara (clarification: I didn't know she was going to be there haha). Me and Kara rough-housed a little bit. She pusheed me down the hill and I had to show her who was boss! It was pretty fun though and you have to enjoy the warm weather why you can (by the way warm weather right now around here is 23*, yeah) Tuesday I don't remember so obviously it was innaguration day so you can see my previous post... But on Weds, I had confermation, and I can honestly say that that was one of the most funny conformations we've had yet. We talked about grinding and drinking, and about the punishment for each. Haha "So if I grind, while drinking do I get 2 weeks suspention, 3 weeks, or 5 weeks?" Haha that was an Amelia quote. Then on Thursday I worked concessions for golf. That was pretty fun. My shift was with Katie and Erin. It's a lot funner being with Erin when there's not a lot of other people around. It takes off the pressure that I have to compete with someone else for her attention (which I have to do with her...) But it was fun doing concessions with her. Friday my mom and I just went to Barnes and Nobel & Extreme Pita. Mmmmm I love Extreme Pita... a lot. So it was a pretty good week!

1.20.09 - Innaguration Day.

If you haven't seen Barack Obama's speech yet, I suggest you do. It was seriously inspiring. Even if you didn't vote for the guy you have to admit that he gives great speeches. Obviously I am a fan. What's not to love about making history? Disclaimer I don't like him because he's making history as the first African-American president, it's just something that has to be mentioned as it is history. Finally we can get past the fact that only white men have been Presidents. You can't deny that it's pretty amazing. I also loved that he was sworn in with Abe's bible, the man who tried to stop slavery's bible is probably smiling down on this moment. Oh the cheese of that last sentence! But it's pretty sweet how far we've come in 150 years, or even 50 years! From African-Americans not even being able to get a fair paying job, to having our head of office being one. I'm overly proud to be an American right now. I'm so glad that he will be representing our country. I think he can gain back America the good reputation it has been losing in the past years. My favorite quote of his acceptance speech was without a doubt "we gather because we have chosen hope over fear." Brilliant. I'm so ready for a change and hopeful right now. I will remember this day probably, hopefully, forever.

Urgg. Monday, after a vacation no less, must I say more? Nah, school was fine. It was actually pretty fun sense we did almost nothing and in gym we tortured this mean kid. Because that's what we do, no mean kids go unpunished. But then he got mad and spazzed. Oh well, it was way too much fun. The reason I was [most] miffed today though was because my mommy had told someone about you know the Dubai thing. (we kind of have been talking about taking a year overseas, but that would be during my sophomore year, we also talked about it about a year ago, but I was hells no! I don't want to! But we'll get to that later) So later we were in the drive through of BK, and I was like so if we go over there would I have to stay through the summer to finish out my year/get my credits (because now every life decision I make revolves around my credits. They're like my babies.) And my moms like well it probably won't happen. I FREAKED. And you would too. Ok so when they first introduced this idea to me, I was like nooo. I don't want to leave my friends, I'll be lonely, nobody will like me in Dubai/wherever we go/ blah blah blah. And my family gave me a hard time about it. Oh it'd be so good for you, oh it'd be fun, oh blah blah blah. I was "nuts" for not wanting to do it. Then it went away for a while... But then I came around to the idea later, when my friends were all like cool! OMG I wish I could go! Ah I'd be so out of here etc. Then I was like okay maybe I wouldn't be an outcast when I come back. So then it came up again and I'd be like yeah that'd be cool. Then they got more serious and I got kinda excited, ya know?! And so mom's tellin a bunch of people about it. Yeah so it seems like it would "actually happen. Wow I was not happy. I was almost reduced to tears in BK's drivethrough. Ok make me feel bad about NOT wanting to go, then convince me to go, then get me excited, then rip it all out from under me. I think it was a evil scheme. Should have seen it coming. But then my mom's like oh well maaaaaayyyyybeeeee. Eff off mom. Just give me my Whopper Jr, and go away. But whatever, I'll be unupset in like 5 hours.

I neglect you at times blog, I apologize. Anyways, yesterday we went to HuHot (the restaurant I would marry if possible) with Brandon, Jason, Mandy, and Sanchez (and ma of course). My favorite thing ever is when mom tells everybody my life plan, when half of it probably is going to change. Oh yes she's going to be a lawyer. Well actually mom I'm not sure anymore but I didn't want to discuss this in front of everyone, but thank you. But it's cool. Now everyone's excited and I'm going to have lots of clientele. Especially Sanchez, because that means he can have someone get him out of jail when he gets himself in there. But back to the point. My mom likes to inadvertently embarrass me in public. Like that one time at the Silver Spoon, where I couldn't find the bathrooms (you have to go down the elevator by the way, and you're supposed to figure that out without signs WTF?) and she sent someone out to help me, which caused the whooooooooole restaurant to look at me. (half of it is a window into the hallway, very cool except for that one moment.) Thank God the food was good, and the bathrooms were nice or I would have been upset. Oh yes and today is Erin's birthday, and I have been promised a piece of Tiramisu (I did NOT spell that right)

The last day of 2008. I don't know why but I've all of a sudden become sad. Sure 2008 had its ups and downs, but it was a good year, well in my opion any year you get to live is a good one. The beginning of 2008 was fabulous. I was never so happy or so sure in my friendships. Kim and Erin were my best friends, without a doubt. We went to basketball games, watched movies together, laughed over trivial things, you know the works. My birthday came and went, it was a pretty good one, even though we were mad at Mara for dumb things, but I guess I'm glad it's happened because then we wouldn't be in our friendship where we are now. Things quickly changed however. Kim became fast friends with TP, and became someone that wasn't fun to hang around with. Erin noticed this also. So E and I became best friends, but before this we were both miserable. Well atleast I was. There was so much drama, it was just about rediculosu things too. Like lunch spots and dumb shit. But then the year ended, not on an extremely awesome note, but I was so glad that the school year was done. No more having to deal with people that caused me so much stress on a daily basis. The summer spead by quickly. It was an amazing summer. I spent a week in NYC, one of the most amazing places on earth. I loved it there so much, I cannot wait to go back. I also was on a summer soccer team back home. I loved my team so much, it was a bunch of us girls thrown together on a team. All of us were different ages. We never won a game but we always had a great time. I made some really good friends. Over the summer I still kept in contact with most of my friends. Kim and I went to the pool a lot. Erin and I hung out and did what best friends do. I did various things with other friends too, just not as frequently. Then in August, Erin and I joined the golf team. It was so much fun to be in a sport together, especially one that niether of us are amazing at. But we would always be better than Emma ;] We spent a lot of time golfing, with the team and by ourselves. Then the school year started again. Erin, Ashlee, and Kendall were the friends I knew I was on my team. The rest of the school year seems like a blur. But around Halloween Erin and I had a falling out. E just didn't seem the same to me as she used to be. Erin went back to being bff with Kim. At the time I was really upset that I was ditched, but now I'm fine with it. Sure I would really like to have a best friend, but I can't find anyone that is willing to stick, or is worth it to me. So now I just have a lot of good friends. And that is mostly it so far. School is school. I have a lot of nice teachers, except my orchestra teacher, but that's another story. This year I discovered how much I love politics, thanks to my history class. But math is still my favorite of course. Last night was my last hurrah party of 2008. It was so much fun. Kim, Erin, Kennedy, and Mara slept over and we just goofed off. We called the pizza man and pretended to be demented. I had a speach impediment and Erin only had one leg and Mara only had one arm. Kim was SUPPOST to have turrets but she couldn't preform. It was helariose. Kennedy was our video recorder. I can't wait for 2009 and all the fun and not fun things it will bring.

I'm pretty pleased with all that I got! I didn't get anything big, but I didn't ask for anything big either. I've been sick for the past couple of days, and I've been miserable. On Christmas night I went to Kennedy's house and stayed over there. We talked about a lot of stuff. It feels good to get all that stuff in the open. Kennedy is really easy to talk to and I'm pretty sure she won't go and tell everyone. And I like that :]

Christmas Eve! Possibly my favorite day of the whole year. The excitement is at its prime. One more day until the suspense is gone! I love, love, love the Christmas season. I'm sad its almost gone though. That's the one thing I don't like is how it goes from 100 to nothing in like a day, but oh well at least we'll still have the things we got to keep us excited. Brandon, Ma, and I went to church tonight. To the old fashion one, not doing that again. I hate the pews; love those chairs. Celebration hall is what we're doing next year for sure! Then we came home and ate some appetizers that we made and watched House Bunny it was really nice. It was a nice Christmas Eve. I can't wait for tomorrow :D
